Christmas is Coming!

Okay Siblings! Now that we finally got Brian married off it is time we re-vamp the Christmas gift exchange process (at least two of us Missys think so).

So I decree the new gift exchange shall be thus:

Every sibling gives to the sibling's family just younger than them:

James gives to my family
I give to Steve's family
Steve gives to Mindy's family
Mindy gives to Cindy's family
Cindy gives to Jenny's family
Jenny gives to Brian's family
Brian gives to Charlene's family
Charlene gives to James' family

And Christmas 2009 everyone will give to the sibling's family 2 younger than them, for example:

James gives to Steve's family
I give to Mindy's family
etc.

Mindurs, I hope you don't feel like I am usurping your life's work as the Official Family Gift Exchange Organizer. I am especially grateful for your effort to organize the exchange in the past, and apologize for any grief I have caused you by complaining about my random selections.

Now, everyone step in line and hit the malls!

Merry Christmas!

Few, I don't have to organize Christmas anymore! It is now up to both Mistletoe and Indy MIssy. I am going to enjoy this!

Clarifying Question: When you say family; do you mean the whole family? I.e. one big gift for both parents and children in that family or just something for the parents - because sibling exchange was usually among the 14 siblings and spouses now 16. Also, I would assume this changes unofficial spending limits; what should it be now. If I am not mistaken it has been around $25.

What do you guys think...
Should we buy for just the Mom and Dad of the family or the whole family?

What should the spending limit be?

Limits? There ain't no limits, if you're buying for me, that is.

Well before you were buying for two people at $25 each (which ended up being $50) so $50 sounds right for the family. As for if you buy for a whole family or not use your best judgement. If I was buying for Misseltoe's's family for example I would buy games and or video's for the whole family and if I were buying for Nersey's family or Steve's family I would buy something for the adults seeing as their babies don't need much at this point. Does that make sense?

Mindurs I agree. That sounds good.
