Okay, We Admit It, We Blog

Or should I say, Missy blogs. I read. I'm supposed to blog, but I'm a much better reader than I am a writer. I have a friend who's wife is a bigtime blogger. In fact she has traded in her blogger account for an actual website. 250 people link to her website from around the country, and the number is growing everyday. My friend now reads his wife's blog religiously, but only so he can keep tabs on what she writes about him.

So why have we kept our blog under wraps you ask? Easy, we have been trying it out, testing the waters. We don't have kids to blog about, so what are we supposed to write about? School? Boring. Work? Boring.

We could give you weather updates. For example, just yesterday it was approaching 60 degrees outside, the tornado warning sirens went off and the wind kicked up like crazy, the windows in the library were shaking, the rain was absolutely nuts, and sure enough a tornado did indeed touch down (though nowhere around us). Within a matter of a few hours, the temperature dropped to 9 degrees. There you have it, a post about the weather. Still kind of boring, huh?

I could write about this recipe I saw on Martha Stewart. It was some kind of chinese chicken dish, very tasty. Words cannot describe the tastiness of that meal. Still kind of boring, huh?

Speaking of food, I enjoy the occasional gyro. Pronounce it anyway you please, you can't argue with the deliciousness that is embodied in a gyro. However, be sure to take plenty of little pink acid reflux pills if you suffer from such a condition. Also, be prepared to smell like a gyro if you eat one, that's a tough scent to shake. Anyhoo, let me tell you about the time I went to the Gyro King during finals. I was with Cody, his wife has the popular blog, well, he's from Vernal so he knows all about dinosaurs. We got to the Gyro King and ordered our meals. Gyro, fries, and a large Coca Cola Classis for under $6. You can't complain about the price. Well, on the way back to school, we passed a DQ. We didn't stop in for ice cream, but you better believe we thought about it. I enjoy following the antics of small town Saskatchewan characters. I mean these people are forty miles from nowhere and way beyond normal. If you get WGN, and I know at least half of you do, you better be watching "Corner Gas" Sunday through Thursdays at midnight. I am usually in bed at that time, but if time permits, I never miss. My hair is getting long, I think I'll go get it cut tomorrow. In fact, maybe I'll do it in honor of Mom's birthday. Happy birthday, Mom. Great Clips sent me a coupon for $7 off, I'll probably use it. Everytime I cut my hair, I lose about six pounds. Ever notice that? Maybe it's just me. Still kind of boring, huh?

Don't feel bad. We haven't told anybody about the blog yet. In all actuality we're trying to come up with the perfect name. I mean, how does one unveil a blog with no witty name? Patience my friends, patience.

Whoops, sorry to steal your thunder. I thought it was a good blog and there was no point in letting it stay hidden. I guess I should have contacted you first before outing you? Sorry Guys!

It really is a good blog, even if it is about Gyro's or Martha Stewart recipes.

Love the blog. When I was 16 Mom used to insist on a haircut every Friday. I paid my $1, sat and waited my turn and got a standard short haircut that took all of 5 minutes. In order to fight inflation I now wait 20 weeks, spend $20 and it takes about an hour. So nothing has changed except the quality of the haircut. I am glad to see you are staying close to the standards you learned at home.

Excellent Steve, when nersey and I came out with ours, and not much has been happening since we took weeks and went trough several revisions, I won't go into them all but instead offer suggestions of my own for ya'll. "Indipendant Inidies", "Midwest Misfits", "Tornado-Alley Toads" - that is if you like the phrog themes and Finally "Dixie and the Miss"

I'm glad that you acknowledged your blog. Now don't you feel better.

My vote is Dixie and the Miss. It sounds like that band you never had.

Go Missy! The blog is spectacular!
