Phrogbottoms:
We arrived at the cabin yesterday to a frozen furnace, frozen water pipes and potentially frozen sewer pipes. It was cold thru out. Aunt C. thought it was warmer outside. We got the furnace running but decided to come back to the valley for the night and tackle the water pipes in the morning. Soooooo Uncle D. and I will be going to the rental (purchase) department at Home Depot to get one of those "mother of all" long tube blower construction heaters to blast the basement to the highest temperature we can to see if we can get water restored.
It is amazing what wimps we have become. Remember the first year. We would go to the cabin without any insulation with the generator and space heaters and bafracade ouseleves into one of those back bedrooms and bundle up cozy? Not any more. If it isn't (or can't be made) sub-tropical "we ain't goin'".
So it is still unclear if we will be able to do the New Years sleigh and sleep party or not. Hope we can I love the boots, coats, scarves, and gloves of the hordes of Davi' and Reads piled by the front door. Did I mention the laughter? Good times.
